Does The Magic Wand Tattoo Removal System Work?

If you are looking for the latest methods for tattoo removal you may have come across the “Magic Wand” designed for do-it-yourself tattoo removal.  As far as we are concerned this has to fall into the category of “what will they think of next.”  If you like the thought of basically taking a HOT iron to the area on you skin where the tattoo is located–not once but over and over again–then this might be for you.    But if not, there are other methods for tattoo removal that seem to make more sense.

The most effective tattoo removal method today is considered to be that done by lasers.  Laser tattoo removal is however not cheap and is uncomfortable and requires several treatments.  So for this reason, many alternatives for tattoo removal are popping up on the scene.  You may have heard about the tattoo fade creams like wrecking balm or tat b gone.  The results from these seems to be mixed-working for some people but not for others.

But we were most surprised to learn of this newest methods for removing tattoos using a method similar to that of applying a hot iron to your skin–the magic wand.

magic wandSold exclusively by GreatInventions TV, the Magic Wand Home Removal System is being touted as the newest method to remove unwanted tattoos on your body. When you biuy this it comes as a kit.  It includes the Magic Wand Heating Element (which is an iron), a 12 oz jar of Magic Wand Cream, a box of heat dissipating paper, a 3 foot roll of Magic Wand Wrap and a Magic Wand Biting Dowel.  Come on…… a magic wand biting dowel ……is it that painful?

The directions say to take a piece of the special Wand Wax Paper and place it over the tattoo, then you take the “heating element” (the iron) and press down on the wax paper and your skin for not less than 5 minutes.

The instructions actually say not to remove the heating element before the required time has elapsed for any reason.  They even instruct you to use the biting dowel to help withstand the pain.  What no shot of whiskey included! When the five minutes is up you are instructed to apply a cream product immediately and then to wrap the wounded area in bandages.

Once the would heals and the scab falls off it says the tattoo should be gone.  If not ,the idea is to repeat the treatments until the desired result is achieved. (You mean you’ve got to go through that again?  Sure hope you saved the dowel rod!) We are not sure if you would be left with a scar that resembles the shape of an iron–but that possibility seems to be likely.

Like everything we present here it is for informational purposes only.  It is up to you to decide what is best.  We always recommend consulting a medical professional on the best advice for tattoo removal today.
